It seems like we aren't disagreeing on much at all, it's a senseless tragedy that could've been avoided if they both handled it better

You truly are stupid. At no point did I say I didn't have compassion for this guy, even though he wasn't innocent. Of course I have compassion for a person who is too stupid to understand that you don't make sudden moves in those types of situations, ESPECIALLY when you have made the LEO aware of a weapon and ESPECIALLY after he has verbally warned you not to move.

a shitty police officer

It's always hilarious when a giant pussy such as yourself judges LEOs who had to make a tough call. Go fricking be a cop if you think the job is so easy and the people who are doing it are shitty at it. You of course won't because you are a pussy who complains on a message board instead of taking action.

You can keep pretending the cop said something you wanted him to say. He didn't say it. And your compassion is patently non-existent.

Know who else thought he was a shitty cop? His employers. You keep defending every shitty cop who passes high school and wanders through a junior college law enforcement program. I'll defend people worthy of defense.

Castile had no reason to believe his life was in danger. (And it shouldn't have been) The cop had a stop and was told the driver had a weapon and was moving around. The cop had a reason to believe his life might be in danger.

Going forward, why would anyone have no reason to believe his life isn't in danger?

All a cop has to say was "I'm scared" and their emptying the chamber and walking home free to their family

I agree. It was a tragedy that could have been avoided, and should have been avoided. Nobody wins in that situation.

This is the plain and obvious issue that no one wants to deal with.

Exactly. Y'all should start firing into any car when someone moves. So you can go home and beat your wives.

I am beginning to think a personal action has happened between you and law enforcement. What you are saying is totally unreasonable.

If they are smart they think their life is in danger every time they have interaction with the public. It's a good way to stay vigilant and alive.

It is your opinion officers are looking for people to kill? They are just waiting for an excuse?

Of course I do, when a LEO has a gun pointed at you yelling at you to stop reaching around and you keep reaching around and he shoots you . You killed yourself..

Amazing. I STILL teach my children. If you get pulled over by a cop. Stop the vehicle and put your hands on the steering wheel until he orders you to do otherwise. Don't be rooting around under your seat for your insurance papers or some shite, b/c that cop literally has no idea what you are rooting around for and isn't going to just bet his life that you aren't reaching for a gun.

Any sane person is teaching their children the same.

Something has to be wrong with me because I don't pander and make excuses for stupid people.

Beat me to it. When will we start admitting that simply choosing the career path of police officer (or soldier) isn't inherently admirable?

TBF, "pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon" hasn't helped LEOs calm their nerves either

It's a vicious cycle
