They have way too many guards on their roster. Why did they need another?
Is Hezonja really that bad? Seems that with the Afflalo and Simmons signings they don't have a lot of confidence in his game.

The team was expecting the $109-112M Salary cap this offseason that was projected last year iirc.
The revision downward from $107 to $102 happened on July 7th. LINK / They matched Crabbe's offer sheet on July 10th. LINK
Now I don't when the decided to match and if there would have been any repercussions to backing out of verbally "committing" to match, but they knew the cap escalation was going the wrong way before they officially chose to bring Crabbe back.

Per Jason Lloyd, the Cavs can no longer even get Kyrie Irving on the phone
They need to trade him quick. Value is going to drop if the situation turns more toxic.

If that phx offer is legit they should take it quick

Phoenix said that they aren't including Josh Jackson in any trades.

These dudes are getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars and acting like children. That's pathetic. Be professional.

The league has to love it though. With all the drama, there has never been more interest in the NBA this late in the offseason.

NBA really is dominating the sports world. 82 games away from the start of the season and we still have the Carmelo and Kyrie trades that need to happen. We will end up with maybe a month or so break from NBA discussion, once football kicks off.

Yep, never before has the NBA been relevant at the start of NFL training camps. With the Kyrie and Melo dramas playing out, it is going to be a major part of the news cycle well into August.

If possible, Send them two or three 1st and who ever to make the money work with salaries etc.......get Kyrie.
Davis, Boogie, Kyrie, Jrue & Fill in the Blank...would be the shite.

People are complaining about lack of movement. But this is leaguewide 'problem'.
There are some teams with more than 10 millions in room.
There are unresolved RFA cases of Noel and Green. I understand what teams are doing. But their players are p....d off. Especially Noel.
I have no problem with waiting game with Asik. But there are less and less shooters available.
Now first on my list apart from Dante is Henderson and Clark. And maybe Lawson.
Good thing with this FA is that you can have good players for a minimum. But maybe not shooters.
I am also curious why QPon case is unresolved. Why he is on every AD photo. Especially every AD workout photo lately...
I have no problem with him unless Asik is gone.
Looks like it might last till end of August. When is the deadline if stretching him. Hopefully he and his agent will be motivated to return to talks. Even in Europe roster spots are filled every day.

Every year he's said that he's coming back, but he's never been this high profile. I'm starting to think he might be back. If he is FA is probably done other than Dante.

Brandon Jennings off the bench would be interesting. We need scoring off the bench.
Posted on 7/28/17 at 11:17 am to BallHawk
Lots of names that could help our bench, but we can't get any of them because we are fricked capped wise.

swapping Cunningham for Rush or Henderson might be worth a look. Dunleavy and Barnes are interesting, but not sure how much either guy has left in the tank at this point.
to me, they need to target wings more than another small guard or big. not sure if i'd be buying QPon stock right now, despite what looks like positive news.
