My wife just graduated and we didn't even consider staying here. We love many aspects of this city, but real estate is expensive (I realize it's not compared to Boston) and private school isn't cheap either. We would have stayed even with the expense of living in a nice part of the city and having to send our future kids to private school, but it isn't worth having to deal with the crime here. You really don't get much for the monetary investment.
