New Orleans Police Scanner--anyone ever listen to this craziness?

Great insight into the misreporting of criminal activity
Someone just had their car shot at and the back window blew out. Occupant on Ferret St said he heard three shots. NOPD officer says it was probably people throwing rocks so I'm going to classify it as "other" and then says he will follow up with people in the car tomorrow when he gets around to it.

5 people on Read Blvd in NOE chasing someone on foot threatening his life. NOPD cop responds "do we have proof there is an altercation? Okay then call me if the person calls 911 again and confirms there was a physical altercation"

The Sniper who is shooting at people in cars is fricking scary. I have images of Beirut in my head because at least two cars have been shot up in the last 30 mins.

I see a lot of OTers on the scanner now because when I joined an hour ago there were only 30 people now there are 80 listeners.

Absolutely..I listen through an app on my IPad. I flip between NOPD and different fire departments. I also listen to some of the departments from Live PD.
