Why oh why doesn't someone with resources do some digging on this.

Mitch acts crazed on this statue topic, you'd think he's being blackmailed.

Jeff Adelson of the Advocate retweeted it
Susan removed it
The tweet is still on Jeff's page without the pic of invite

Removing Davis and Lee are bad enough, but removing Beauregard is simply unforgivable. PGT did a lot for NOLA before and after the war; he also campaigned during the horrid Reconstruction for suffrage for recently freed slaves.

Ignorance of history was the only thing keeping the outrage over the PGT removal from being worse than anything else.

Does driving vehicles you already own to a site cost money?

Unless you're insinuating they're automated vehicles someone had to drive them. I assume they were being paid for their work. That's aside from the overtime and fuel used to get there and idle for hours.

It's also aside from the crane they obviously rented and almost wrecked.

I said $1m for all four. That's $250k per statue.

Are you really this fricking dumb?

That has to be fake right? Mitch is a fricking idiot but there's no way he hosts a party to celebrate the removal of the monuments that have caused this much debate

Not surprising really, he's quite the fricking moron.

I think this whole issue is starting to weigh on him.

doubt that. NOPD is probably the best in the world when it comes to crowd control. Not sure if you're from here or not but we have this thing called Mardi Gras every year for over 300 years where over 1 million people come and visit the city over a 2 week timeframe.

That's a good point however seems like NOPD is a shell of what it once was. They couldn't even do Mardi Gras without LA State Police assistance if I recall correctly.
