When you get to the super regional you are going to be playing 1 of 2 types of teams.

1- A very good baseball team, who has been pretty successful all season long.

2- A very good team that has flown under the radar, and is now getting super hot at the right time. And who also just knocked off a very good baseball team, who has been pretty successful all season long.

Yep and I'd take door number 1 every time. We haven't had a lot of luck against #2 recently.

details

team that can hit a ton. South Park Long Island, whatever they were called.

team with two MLB pitchers. Saints preserve us. UCLA last time LSU met them in playoff.

team that understands small ball. southern CA Beach

I don't know that I've ever been more confused reading a reply to a post I made on here.

Stanford would be a National Seed that would have a good chance to lose the regional
not against Kansas and Michigan

if the PAC 12 gets 2 that will be a joke. Yes OS is good but overall the PAC 12 sucks.

With 6-8 games to go for most of these teams that matter, all these projections are interesting but really meaningless.

Do we even want any part of Virginia?

Yes, if you look at them more closely they are 3-6 vs top 25 RPI. It seems they have feasted on a weak schedule.

It doesn't matter who we get...Lange and Poche are going to have to pitch lights out every single game for us to even have a chance to get to a super. We get to a super and the stars will have to align to win it

So pitching and defense... basically do what we've done that has us 1st place in the west heading into the final weekend.

You really went out on a limb there.

I trust Walker over any other team's number 3.

That same statement can be made about every single team in the tournament.

It has actually be proven to be false by LSU this year on more than one occasion as well.

They lost the series when they played UNC, Clemson, and Louisville. Florida State and Miami arent even that good either.

That regional would be awesome. I love when they send the 4 seed north schools down here and they cook in the afternoon sun on Friday.

When has a 4 seed beaten LSU on Friday in a Regional? I'll wait.

Never since the regional became four teams... it's a Louisiana June tradition.
