This is a good thing. We can have 3 graduations.

What does it say about the state of higher education in our country when our most prestigious university doesn't know the definition of the word "segregation"? Let that sink in for a moment.

MLK Jr. and everyone else who fought for desegregation back in those days would surely love a segregated graduation.

He's really probably rolling over in his grave though.

Average Gravy Chambers fan: "Das raciss!"

Average Harvard black graduate: "That is racist."

Similar all-black graduations take place at institutions such as Columbia, Stanford and Temple,

It would be nice seeing this at all universities. A white graduation and a black graduation, oh wait...

At least the other people at the regular graduation won't have to deal with the whooping and hollering everytime a black grad's name is announced.. that shite is so annoying at graduation ceremonies

No they are not. I don't understand why it's difficult to write accurate titles. The Univeraity is a part of no such event.

Some students at Harvard are organizing a separate black ceremony. That is completely different. Your OP is click baitish bullshite.

Not a fan of the title, Harvard isn't forcing anything and would be destroyed for not allowing it to happen.

That being said, hilarious that these kids are graduating from a college and have no problem using it's name on their resume... But slaves! I can disagree with a stand and still respect it, but frick that they are trying to have the best of both worlds in this situation. I cannot stand the attitude of disagreeing with something when it is convenient, but also getting the benefits that come with it.

And we've come full circle. What would we do without the wise and fair cultural leadership of American liberals?

I support segregated graduations

One ceremony for grads that have respectful families who adhere to requests that cheering and applause be held until the end so everyone's name can be heard.

Another ceremony for families who want to jump up and yell and cheer loudly when their grad's name is called so the next 2-3 people's names can't be heard

Look, either people want to mix or they don't, but don't come off all superior and shite and throw rocks at the south for its sins of the past, and then turn around some 50 years later and try and justify segregated graduations.
