While I don't disagree with you - except your 45-50 sack projection which is ridiculous - you have to understand other teams have attempted to improve their rosters as well.
ATL was in SB last season - and God bless them, they made the most impressive collapse in Superbowl history. Superbowl hangover and loss of Shanahan =/= guaranteed shite team.
CAR was in SB 2 seasons ago - and God bless them as well for crapping out as well - but dismissing them is juvenile.
BUCS are an upstart and a good paper team, we'll see what the production is.
Point being, even with black and gold bias, the last 2 NFC Superbowl participants (haha) were from NFC South. As much as pundits have soured on NFC South in preseason, the truth is in the results.
These are teams to contend with that have made their own moves as well. Other divisions have been promoted by pundits in the past, with less success.
Saints haven't touched the playoffs in 3 straight seasons, they need to figure it out and figure it out fast. NFC South isn't going to lay down all of a sudden.

And all I'm saying is, on paper, all of our moves are far better than what Atl and Car did, and still better than what TB did though I do think they improved.
The loss of a good coordinator is huge, and both Atl and Car lost the one on the side of the ball they are known for. You see it every year a team will lose a great coordinator and they start rolling downhill. The first year may just be a couple of games, but by the second year they start losing that identity.
Meanwhile we shipped off coaches that should have long been gone (minus losing WR coach Morton, but we only replaced him with at least an equally good coach in the returning Johnson) and added a great coach (maybe not head coach but he ain't that here) in Nolan. Any coach would be an upgrade over McMahon. We'll see on the DL coach.
And that's just the coaches. I already touched on our players but when I get time I'll go over what the other teams gained/lost.
