Maybe, just maybe, they continued to study the subject matter and made more discoveries. They more than likely continued to collect data using the low fat approach and found similar data as they did before and concluded that it wasn't fat that was the culprit. Science is ever changing with new discoveries. Some hard core facts are exactly nailed down until some years after the initial discovery.

That's the whole point, though. people keep saying stuff like, "The science is settled!" and "Scientific fact says..." and "95% of all scientists agree, so it is undeniable...." when there is almost no such thing. Science keeps on studying, observing and then changing what was considered fact by college kids that think they know something about science.

Facts are not a democracy. You don't vote, and then the majority determines what a fact is.
If you got 99 out of a hundred scientists to say that 2+2=5, it still would not make the answer 5. A consensus does not make something a fact.

Not really. You argue that abortion is ok if the baby is not viable without a womans body.

I argue that it is an irrelevant point.

you cannot simultaneously claim a point is irrelevant while also absolving yourself of any burden to prove it is so

Sure I can. You can make the point. I don't accept it. I don't care if you like that or not. If you make the point that abortion is murder because your grass is green, it will be similarly dismissed because it holds as much relevance.

Most educated people don't agree with that.
So it's your assertion most educated people cannot grasp logic or understand science?

An odd stance to take to be sure, and one impossible to defend.

Do we?

A woman's right to bodily autonomy means that she gets the right to expel unwanted objects/guests from her body at any time. Period

We can just remove the unwanted fetus and let it thrive on its own.
Therein lies the science issue.

So again, as your reference is to ALL cases, it's contradictory to the statement you made here.
There is no rhyme or reason or scientific basis for your position.

Don't you think of that's your stance the woman shouldn't commit an act that will voluntarily put them there?

I argue that it is. Who gets to break the tie?

NOBODY has total autonomy over their bodies. Especially not the body of a baby. Again, NOBODY has autonomy over their own body. Try selling your kidney on ebay, and see what happens.

If it's irrelevant, why do abortion advocates always bring up situations involving rape and incest as part of their justification?

Because it's a political ploy to get pro life people to either say they are ok with some abortions or they look like crazies if they think the mom should have to carry to term in those cases. There's no decent answer for that question.
