St. George's latest statement on Facebook...Wow!

We would like clarification on exactly what LSU President F. King Alexander meant when he said, "We worked together successfully about a year and a half ago to make sure the city wasn't split in half." Is he saying that LSU, a publicly funded university in Louisiana, (Louisiana House of Representatives, Louisiana State Senate, Louisiana Board of Regents) or its employees, was actively involved in a political effort who's number one goal was to prevent Louisiana residents from voting (Louisiana Secretary of State, Office of the Louisiana Attorney General)? Was there any financial or in-kind support (LSU Foundation, Tiger Athletic Foundation) given from LSU to fund an active political organization working to keep people from voting? Perhaps we can get an answer when LSU publically testifies in front of House Appropriations or Senate Finance on Hosue Bill 1 (the state's budget)? Huh. I would have thought he'd have at least mentioned the dragon. If I were him, I'd never stop talking about it.

I don't particularly like F King, but C'mon. this is a very broad statement to make a bunch of assumptions upon.
ETA: OK, now after what SWB said, I retract my above statement. these two are idiots.

Im against the new city but am completely sympathetic to their desire and would probably end up moving there if it ever happened. Its amazing how idiotic the approach has been from the detractors and all but guarantees continued efforts to breakaway.

St. George is mainly about schools, right? They should probably try to proofread their statements before putting them out. FFS.
