Anyone else see any reason not to double dip on edges in the first two rounds?

The only DE we have worth a shite on the roster is cam. Kikaha is talented but his knees have to be a concern.

After those two, we have nothing. We have been bringing in alot of edge prospects that are graded as second rounders for private workouts, i think that signals our intentions of going edge in rounds 1 and 2.

How would you feel if instead of us going barnett at 11, we go McCaffrey/Trub/Watson/Howard/Reddick at 11, then at 32 get taco/tim williams/Mcdowell/Mckinnley, and at 42 snag Jordan Willis/Basham/rivers?

Not a bad idea. Might have to go with the top CB on the board at #11 in that scenario, though. All the 2nd tier CB's will probably be gone by our 3rd round pick.

Yeah

Our CBs are worse than our DEs

I think you go for one in the 3rd, but we have more holes than just de that we double dip in top 2 rounds

I wouldn't be worried if pj Williams was healthy and played like how he did in 1.5 games over a season but that injury was scary.

I think one guy to look at toward the end of the draft is a Samson Ebukam, an edge rusher from Eastern Washington. Dude ran a 4.45 at his pro day.

I have zero issue with this. I really think Ryan Anderson from Alabama is a wild card in the second round.

Maybe, there are a ton of good CBs out there that will be available 2nd and 3rd round.

Not a bad idea if the available talent is there. I think you're underselling Okafor though. Nice rotation always sweet. I wouldn't force it if there was a better value in the secondary or receiving Rb or TE there though.

I'm not opposed to doing that if the value is there. I don't like going in with a restriction like that, though. I want them to take the highest graded player available at our slots, with giving some though to need. If that is a DE at 11 and 32, do it. But if you're sitting there at 32 and have a higher graded CB or RB or something sitting there, I'd rather take that player. Good teams pick good players and don't force need.

If the FO thinks there is value in it then by all means do proceed. To me the only major priority on offence is a RT for Striefs spot.

The saints need help on the end position but I would like to see them solidify the secondary in the first round and focus on the end and linebackers position in the second and third round. They usually do well in the mid rounds picking up quality players on the offensive line and skill position.
