Let's keep the streak rolling! Unfortunately, Sam will be talking to me somewhere around the 4th inning.

Can't be blowing good starts from Keuchel like last time. Should win this series.

Small sample size yadda yadda but still kinda crappy:

The rest of MLB has taken an extra base on a ball in play 286 of 677 times (42%).

The Astros have done so 4 of 30 times (13%).

Yeah he did work against us last year.

Seems like we've struggled with Oakland in general since joining the division. This is one of those series where I'd be ecstatic if we took 2/3 but pretty underwhelmed if we took 1/3 or worse with Keuchel Lance and Morton throwing

Now that we're done with Seattle for awhile and they've dug themselves quite a hole, let's hope they catch fire and start beating divisional opponents over the next month or 2

I haven't done a great job thus far but I will try to include the "things to know" each afternoon before the game

Things to know about this game
• Keuchel is 2-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 14 games (12 starts) in his career against the A's, including a complete game in 2014.

• Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is a career .324 hitter against the A's, but he batted .288 against them last year with a .350 on-base percentage.

• The A's will play 23 of their first 26 games (the month of April) against American League West competition. They went 3-4 against division clubs (Angels, Rangers) to start the season before a three-game set in Kansas City prior to coming home to face the Astros.

Isn't it Oakland where we have to listen to that drum beating bitch all game?

Yep and the vuvezelas and 500 yards of foul territory

Maybe the raiders leaving will inspire the city of Oakland and the A's to build a nice stadium

They have taken the tarps off of the upper deck of the stadium this year. Selling tickets up there for $15 and donating half of those proceeds to charity. Pretty cool.

Huh!

Bregs already demoted? Did that happen during the Seattle series?

Reddick hit 2nd the last game to split up the RHHs. Not really a demotion. Hinch also said he likes Breggers separating Beltran and McCann since they are old and slow.

Also, file this in the "no shite, agents should stfu" folder
quote:

Carlos Correa wasn't aware of the comments his agent made yesterday. Said he wouldn't shut the door on anything at the right price.

Dammit AJ. Can we stick with a lineup for more than one game? Yuli finally starts hitting, we score 10 runs and he benches him for Marwin after an off day.

In one sense, it's weird to not play him after the day off. Only defense of the move is, Graveman is a sinker ball guy while Yuli is quite the groundball hitter.
