Pensions, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid. Not to mention low cost of education. Must be nice. What are the odds the younger generations will have any of these benefits when we're 60/70? Or are the rest of us just getting stuck with the bills?

People like to shite on millennials, but boomers are far worse. They're the reason the country is in the shitter to begin with.

My grandfather is from the generation before the boomers. He retired at the age of 50 from the police force (chief of detectives) and has been living a good life off of a pension for 35 years now. I have no idea how much it pays, but he has a nice house and my grandmother has always driven nice cars.

I don't think I'll see things like that.

Meh, Millenials have it made.

They get to smoke weed and play free video games all day long, listen to all the latest music for free and live in their parents' basement for free until they are 40.

Baby Boomers had to get a job, go to college or join the Armed Forces when they turned 18.

According to Nancy Pelosi in 2005, Social Security will be solvent "for 40 years" (or until 2045) when saying that pols trying to change SS were "fearmongering." We are fukt.

My Finance professor, who was a big wig at Bank of America, skipped introductions on the first day of class and asked "who here thinks you will get Social Security when you retire?" Nobody raised a hand. "Well, we're off to a good start."

My dad started paying into SS when he was 13.

Similar to how new generations are facing ME problems and money the boomers dealt with Southeast Asia and the Cold War. They also had a president, presidenti nominee, and civil rights leader assisinated.

We are lucky to have them.

What's this another millennial whine-and scapegoating festival?

I could completely relate to the millennial complaint regarding baby boomer goodies if millennials weren't absolutely RELIABLE about wanting to PILE ON to those goodies.

And, they largely support the party that has NEVER allowed anyone to even TALK about reducing the goodie train.

I'm taking responsibility for my own retirement. Will be a multi-millionaire by retirement time just having a normal job, living within my means, and saving
