I don't see a logical, non-partisan reason why Democrats want to filibuster this. Gorsuch is a great choice and he is replacing Scalia, not Ginsburg.

Because their entire playbook is calling Republicans extremist. They want to make the Republicans change the rule so they can yell extremist. They know that their enablers in the media won't mention that Harry Reid started it. Their problem is the electorate is better informed these days.

Democrats don't need to use logic, if it is a Repub they don't want him and they could care less what he has done in the past.

To force the nuclear option. That's the point IMO.
Also, who he is replacing is irrelevant . From the Ds perspective, an SC spot was stolen. It's going to leave a mark. And they're not going to forget about it.

Because they are against ANYTHING Trump is for, and they are for ANYTHING Trump is against. It's not about what is best for our country with them, never has been, and never will be. It is what they think is best for the Democrat party and protecting their own little playhouse.
