There is a difference in being head to toe in Alabama gear 100% of the time and wearing an LSU or Auburn or UGA polo when flying somewhere.

I've met a lot of interesting folks because I was wearing an AU polo in an airport bar or the like. Not just other AU/SEC people, just people who want to talk about football or the south or something. It's a good conversation starter.

I don't even do it because of school pride to be honest. For non-gameday wear, I prefer wearing AU gear outside of the south more than in it.

I don't, but most well-to-do's leave their school colors behind when they're done with college.

Of course it is. Leaving the house in anything but a suit is trashy. I wear my suit to the gym and work out in it.

I'd say it's unacceptable for anyday.

I hope you're a very young kid and not a grown man. If you're a grown man asking people on a website what you should wear i feel really sorry for you.

I always found it amusing when I would fly in/out of Baton Rouge the amount of people flying(year round) wearing head to toe LSU gear(LSU hat, shirt, hoodie jacket, etc) carrying their LSU duffel bags/carry-ons/backpacks.

That's trashy.

People out here DGAF about wearing WAZZU or UDUB or Oregon or Grizz stuff.

I keep forgetting I'm on a southern college message board, so it's pretty custom to wear school colors when traveling even if said person has no academic affiliation with school colors.

My bad. It's def a culture thing.

Is acting like a passive aggressive try hard twat a PNW cultural thing?

If you think you're above southern culture, just say so. Don't dance around it.

Deflection.

And I don't care what you wear, but I think it's trashy to wear script A's on a hat, t shirt, and sweat pants while at the airport.

but if it's not football season, and a non-alum is in San Francisco sporting a [insert college here] hat, it's trashy.

So is it only trashy for non alums to wear? What about non football schools apparel?

One, I think you are far too concerned with other people's decisions. Two, while I understand this argument, I find it comical. I've been going to LSU games since I was 5 years old. I've sat through 2 national championships. LSU sports has bonded my family in more ways than nearly any other activity we partake in. Unfortunately I was unable to attend LSU. If that makes me less of a fan than anybody else, I'll take it.

I think that sometimes it can be "over done". My brother is one of those kind. Grow the frick up and put on big boy clothes.
