If I needed a kidney I wouldn't give a shite where it came from. Being a close friend or relative doesn't make someone less likely to be a shithead later either.
This.

I wouldn't give a kidney to anyone but my kids or wife, which means I wouldn't give to my siblings. I know that's horrible but it's true. Saddest part is that they'd all give me one in a heartbeat.
I was kidding

This is a classic case of not allowing yourself to think there is good in people without an ulterior.
Sometimes, people just want to play music without payola. Open your ears, listen and enjoy.

Pretty clear and standard sarcasm whooshes over another OTer's head.

This is stupid and you are stupid.

I would accept a kidney from a greasy hobo if it meant I could live.

So what if the guy asks him for money later on? A kidney is worth a lot of money, even if you can't legally sell it

You're a dumbass. Really.
Someone is willing to do something to extend/save/improve your relatives life and all you are looking at is an ulterior motive. Christ.

Take the kidney and say thanks. Change phone number next day.

Wow, your thought process is effed up. Here is a man willing to undergo major surgery to save your uncles life and all you are concerned about is if the donor may need help later.
If I needed a kidney and someone offered one to me you can bet I would spend my life being thankful and doing everything I could to show my appreciation.
The last thing on my mind would be the suspicious that this person was going to try to use me later.

Here is my concern. What happens later on if the donor is out on his luck and needs help (financially or other). There seems to be a risk that he could take advantage of my relative, and he may feel compelled to help him.
I mean, that scenario stinks, but it's better than dying without the kidney.

I hope you're not worrying about how much inheritance you have coming from the relative. Be happy he might be able to be with you a little longer.
If the situation ever arouse, I'm sure your relative would love to be in a position to do something special for a guy that's willing to donate a kidney to him.
He might feel like Private Ryan did at the end of his movie. I think I would.
