Exactly. It's simply amazing how many MCU apologists are on this board.

i know that Nocturnal Animals is very different from Passengers, but the fact is that the RT score did come into play and continues to come into play when choosing a movie because we have such little time to watch adult movies, but I've seen Trolls like 40 times in the past 3 weeks

This is much like my life. Especially the Trolls part. I tend to have critics I like, and I read their reviews because I tend to trust their judgment. But I don't like reducing reviews to good/bad. Look, some bad movies are totally worth watching just for the attempt. I love "interesting failures" while I can't abide competent mediocrities.

But Rotten Tomatoes hasn't ruined a thing. It simply aggregates reviews. Read them. If you don't and just trust a silly score, it's your own fault. Brett Ratner has done more harm to movies than RT has.

I think he's saying that Marvel isn't the only studio putting out good comic book movies. His was a response to my post and I admittedly agree.

Technically true, as those are Fox, but it's still Marvel IP

Producers and directors ruined the film industry by either making 15 sequels of the same crap (Fast & Furious, Transformers, etc) or by trying to remake movies that should never have been remade in the first place. No one seems to have original ideas anymore.

Well I guess I'm part of the problem because I always use rotten tomatoes before watching a movie it's accurate 99.999 % of the time.

i mean frick it's not casablanca or anything but it was an entertaining movie. okay, the last half of the movie was entertaining and me not being a comic book snob or anything i didn't see the ending coming. i enjoyed the movie and the only reason i waited so long to watch it was because of the shite RT score

It's not Batman and Robin. Yes, Batman and Robin is a better movie than Batman V Superman. At least Arnold is entertaining.

I guess you didn't see the trailers then.

Well, it is the worst comic book film I've ever seen and just an utter betrayal to all of the characters involved. Superman's an a-hole, Batman kills people on a whim, Lois Lane just shows up everywhere for no reason, and Lex is a hipster vegan pussy. I'm not sure if I could have made it worse if I actively tried.

Don't see where a guy who's talking about making Rush Hour 4 should get any sympathy for a bunch of critics not liking some of his movies.

That being said, as someone that doesn't get out and see movies very often, I had a completely inaccurate idea of what Rotten Tomatoes does. Since I first heard of RT, I thought it was based off of what actual paying moviegoers like yourselves thought. I thought it was a site that gave a voice to the public. I thought people joined the site and those ratings were from millions of people that saw the movies. Had no idea it was a compilation of ratings from real movie reviewers.
