I think a lot of those things are a matter of circumstance.

You cited Draymond Green as an example of a guy with those attributes. While I agree Draymond has a high bball IQ, I think he'd be looked at worse than Cousins around the league if he was drafted by about 25 other teams. Might not even be in the league anymore. He ended up in a perfect situation, where all of his nonsense and BS is looked at as "leadership" and "will to win"

He's less talented than Cousins, but just as volatile and just as much of an arse hole, but happened to end up on the perfect team for him with the perfect coach. And even still, might have costed his team a championship.

I do think Davis lacks a lot of the leadership qualities you'd like your best player to have, but I totally disagree with rest of your assessment of his makeup.

That's fine. We can disagree. But I am not being emo or a pessimist. That is my honest assessment. I don't see any intangibles, IQ, or leadership with any of these three. And I just value all that stuff way too much. I look at the Spurs and see them win with half the talent on some nights when they are resting guys. And even when they have their full roster, they are probably only the 10th or 11th most talented roster in the league. But they are elite every year.

IQ and intangibles.
