2012: 19-12, 9-9 (8th in SEC), no postseason
2013: 20-14, 9-9 (6th in SEC), NIT Second Round
2014: 22-11, 11-7 (3rd in SEC), lost in embarrassing fashion to NC State in First Round
2015: 19-14, 11-7, (3rd in SEC), no postseason with the #1 draft pick
2016: 9-19 (1-15) (dead last in SEC)

Even Alleva can't frick this up. There is no way Jones will be coming back for another season. He has a losing SEC record and barely above a .500 overall average. Not happening.

Wins and losses are the only thing that matters. The how and why doesn't really count in basketball. And for every reason one tries to give as to why he should be fired, there is a counter as to why he should be retained.

And when you are wrong, you will come here and pretend like you were just joking. The most amazing thing about you is that you some how figured out how to use the internet.

As much to the dismay of some fans the LSU admin will retain the services of Jones for next year. This is his first losing season at LSU.

I believe this to be true as well.

What does the recruiting look like for next year?

NCAA appearances are what matters you dolt, empty wins against NAIA teams don't count for shite. There is no argument for keeping Jones. He's had a Mcdonalds all American every year at LSU and has 1 tourney appearance lmao. The two years he's had more than one mcdonalds AA he didn't even make it. What a moron to post something like this claim you have knowledge of it and not have a source. Attention seeking idiot.

Wouldn't surprise me. In fact, it could be expected from JA.

I know King and Alleva are trash but they do care about one thing and that's money. If Jones is brought back attendance will drop below 1,000 per game, I think that'll be the difference.

I think they gave Johnny a chance to regain some cred after the disaster last year and too much damage had been done, too much respect lost.

CJJ just proved without a doubt he does not have the presence to command the respect of his players the way the better coaches do, the type of coaches that attain consistent success.

No way he can be kept, there is no hope and even our challenged admins know this. I have it on no authority but I just don't see any way to justify keeping him. I'm calling BS.

The only chance Jones comes back is in the unlikely event of a five game SEC Tourney sweep, and the automatic NCAA bid. In other words, it's not happening.

Agreed. This team could make a run and win the SEC Tournament.. Lots of close losses in there and Blakeney and playing for the draft. Could pull out an Antonio Hudson SECT run. And then LSU could be a 16 seed and stun the world by taking down NOVA...we owe them a little something from last decade. After that, it's 50% if this team could make the Final Four.

If LSU makes the Final Four, then we could be close to .500, again.

The NC State game you did see what happened right? I guess its JJ's fault his team went cold at tbe line down the stretch and the NBA talent couldn't get a rebound over a guard in the winding minutes of that game.

I don't think this supports your argument that he will or should be retained.

Then why do you bring up Ben Simmons?
