If the athletic dept. has already decided NOT to fire Jones after the season, why haven't they announced a 'vote of confidence' or something. Given all the talk show speculation, fan uproar, etc, this is what is usually done. I think the silence is a pretty good indication Jones won't be back. You just typically don't fire pending the end of the season. And yes, it happened to Gottfried, but that's not the norm.

I'll check to make sure, but you may be mistaken. The #14 LSU will play #11 Auburn on Wed., March 8, and #13 Missouri faces #12 Miss. St.
