To you, what does it mean to be on a company's "short-list" of candidates?
Graduating in May and a few companies have told me this as of late. Just trying to gauge interest, etc.

I'd say you should keep applying elsewhere, if it works out great. If not you'll have a back up plan.

Have you interviewed? If not, short list when I hire (before interviews) are six selected "pulled" resumes. Those get interviews. From there, I then short list again down to three.
