compared to: 54.5% from within 3ft for Tyreke.

The issue is his 3-10 and 10-16 which are 20% and 25.9% respectively...those are way below average.

so are reddick and mccollum. I don't think any of us thinks he's going to be a stud defensively

wildly inconsistent

the rotations and minutes he plays are as well. the inconsistency is definitely a rookie thing, but the rotations don't help him at all either.

JJ Reddick (LAC version) of the past few years is pretty good too.

Honestly I do not think Hield is that bad on defense, he hustles really well and does a pretty good job of staying in front of his man. Is he gonna lock his guy up and cause 5 turnovers a game, no, but can he guard the 2nd or 3rd best guard/wing for the other team, yea.

I think at his peak he could be somewhere around 18-20PPG

But I think he'll be around 12-15PPG next season.

is horrid. Evans at 54% is bad too.

Reddick isn't a lockdown defender, but he's not a liability. he is sound and knows his rotations. if Hield gets to that level, he will be good enough defensively

Hield looks like a 4th/5th starter at best. if his handle improves, he could be more than a shooter, but I'm not holding my breath.

Thompson comps are off for me b/c of his high/quick release. he can let it fly from anywhere at any time- Hield cant
