If y'all are talking secondaries then y'all are playing for the #2 spot.

Markquese Bell is the best DB(and athlete overall) in this class. People(including me) overuse freak but he's truly a freak athlete

I won't say anything about Secondaries as a whole, but I told Jem days ago that i've got the best safety class in the bunch.

I mean... you spent picks 1-4 on it, but I don't think that necessarily a "best DB class" makes.

quote:

CB Shaun Wade Ohio State 2
S JaCoby Stevens LSU 1
S Bubba Bolden USC 4
CB Lamont Wade Penn St 3

I like Stevens, and certainly would have liked him at UGA, but I don't actually like his film as much as a lot of other highly rated safeties. His measurables are better than LeCounte for example, but I like LeCounte's actual play better. Probably has a higher ceiling though, particularly since LSU has developed DBs so well historically.

Shaun Wade is an interesting one for me. It *seems* like OSU has Okudah penciled in at safety according to the recruiting services but he is a lights out corner too... it's going to be interesting to see who battles out to actually see the field there across the defensive backfield. I mean, not even accounting for the inbound recruits, they've got EIGHT 4* Corners on the roster from previous recruiting cycles. Talk about an embarrassment of riches (that's not even accounting for another three 3* Corners, and a 3 and 4* safety on the roster - or that they brought in FIVE 4-5* corners/safeties in this year's class).

Lamont Wade seems more like a really good nickel corner at 5'8-9"ish, but probably too good to be only a situational DB... I like Bolden at Safety a lot though.. maybe even more than Stevens honestly.
