Yet, we're pulling studs from Texas, Florida, etc.

BEAT them and it'll slow down in La

What proof? The proof that I have a feeling he's going to Bama? Should I hook myself up to a lie detector test and send you the results

Can't make them wear p&g if don't want to...I feel like its a slap in the face to sign with p&g's biggest rival and then constantly rub it in our face, but at the end of the the day that's my opinion and they choice.

I was told that their EE's are already practicing.

Here's my problem with that, if true: practicing now versus waiting till spring ball starts doesn't give those EE players a huge leg up next fall (nobody's gonna be a true freshman all-american because they started drills a couple weeks early). What it does is acclimatize those players before they join the full team. The only thing that makes this alleged violation objectionable would be that it's a giant "go frick yourselves" to the NCAA rules that other teams presumably follow.

Were another team discovered to be doing this, they'd lose something—whether probation, the loss of how many could EE in a future year, whatever.

But bama's got ESPN by the balls, who has the SEC and NCAA by the balls, so ain't shite ever gonna get done about it.

Bama ain't the best team, they're just caught up in the feedback loop of tv contract money and ratings, so they're immune to punishment in ways that others are not.

To tie this back into recruiting—if Louisiana players want to play for nick saban's market value, frick 'em and good riddence. I want the guys who want to come to LSU and be giant-killers. If Harris, Allen, et al. want to be part of that, I'm all for it. Otherwise, I hope they enjoy languishing on the bench with all the other "five star" players that got the exact same "I don't need you, but I want you" pitch from saban.

Isn't it illegal to transport large sums of cash (and cars) across state lines? Someone call Five-O.

I don't understand why there isn't a move to try to change the attitude surrounding recruiting in LA. The best players in MS and AL have immense pressure placed on them to stay in state, but the attitude in LA has grown far too lax. People around here talk as if there are "consequences" to leaving to play out of state, but it doesn't feel that way. That pressure isn't there the same in LA as we see in some other places. If it was that way in the past, it certainly isn't anymore.

Beyond beating Bama on the field, this also needs to change. There SHOULD be pressure. A great in-state program deserves respect, and pressure should be brought to bear to make sure it's given. The in state attitude shouldn't be lax and/or resigned. Even if it takes some guys facing truly being ostracized after deciding to leave, or pressure being placed on HS coaches to make sure LSU is given their due, this needs to happen. Without the kind of pressure The Network applies in MS and the REC enforced in AL, things won't change even with a few wins.

Don't consider me a fan of Saban. I think he's an average game day coach as proven by his short stint in the NFL. Given equal talent Saban is nothing special. I'm just not sold on Ole Dabo either. Let's see how he does with out D Watson!

Quit thinking so much, lil boy.

What would you know about all-time? You're not old enough to make a statement as such.

The Saban train will soon slide friends. No one stays on top forever and many programs are now shelling out cash to improve. He also just got out coached in the championship game.

I have to disagree. He lost to a better team. I hate the Bastard as much as I did Bryant, but he doesn't get out-coached. Neither did Bear until '82 when he retired.

I understand that you're saying that you think they're the best in a holistic sense, but the games have to mean something, right? In the same way that I thinks it's garbage to call USC the 2003 national champions, I don't think bama gets to be "the best" after losing on 1/9/17.

I said it in the coaching changes thread and in text before, but the pro-LSU cops should use any chance to rough up Bama coaches. Im also not opposed to the LHSAA dishing out punishment to non friendly LSU schools

LSUisflatNasT-well I beg to differ on your observation. And Coach Raymond will have something to say about that also. BTW, Coach Raymond is in THE HOUSE.
