Can we finally admit that Mike D'Antoni is a good coach?

He got screwed in New York by Carmelo because of the Jeremy Lin situation but besides that he's always had a record of success.

I also won't hold his lakers stint against him.

I like dantoni and his system. He simply requires an elite point guard to run it.

D'Antoni is the Don Coryell of the NBA. He's a brilliant offensive mind whose innovations changed the NBA. However, his teams have never played defense and his postseason record leaves a lot to be desired.

Miss D'Antoni in PHX. Those were the most fun teams I've ever watched to this day. Damn Spurs

So wait, we're allowed to disagree with decisions both NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES agree on? Dear god, this is practically anarchy.

He's well respected by guys like Pop and Coach K. Like others have said, Kobe, Melo and ball dominant scorers just don't really work in that system. Harden has bought in and is leading the league in assists while still scoring 28 a game.

I'd say he is a good coach. Not an elite coach. But as a Spurs fan, my views are probably a little skewed. Pop is 16-4 against the D'Antoni system in the playoffs.

Michigan State was awful this year. Dude may be on the hot seat next season.
