To start, Galatoire's Godchaux Salad and Crabmeat Maison.

Broiled Pompano and Gulf Meunière Amandine are very good. You cannot go wrong with the Soft Shell Crab when they are running it as a fish option. Soufflé Potatoes, Fried Eggplant, and Oysters Rockefeller are great appetizers. French Onion Soup. Any of the potato side dishes are great.

Crabmeat if you like it creamy

Everything I've had there is very good. I can't seem to skip the oysters rock. The rock sauce is one of the best. I tend to get fish dishes most of the time and I love the amandine. It's a dish I like a lot in general. They do it well.

I could subsist on nothing else.
Also try the shrimp remoulade.

Insider tip: Get just a side of Rockefeller topping (no oysters) and spread it on the Leidenheimer bread

I know the previous chef just left to start a new place. Has much changed since then? I'm sure the menu is still the Galatoires same ole menu.

Had the Oysters Rockefeller and Crab Maison. Excellent. Fish entree was OK

Great tip. I didn't know the topping could be ordered as a side. I like it over jumbo lump crabmeat, baked.
