Alleva Legacy: Going cheap and settling on coaches

Trent Johnson (who was a downgrade to Brady).
CJJ when so many other up and coming coaches were available.
Keeping CJJ when he had #1 pick and didn't come close to NCAA Tournament.
Coach O instead of Fisher or Herman.
Micah Gibbs as hitting coach instead of going after a guy with similar background as Andy.
What's next? Repromoting Ensminger when you can't get Kiffen, Sark, etc as OC?

We know what alleva is all about. No need for alleva to send out anymore emails to the fans because we see right through him to the truth, not what he writes in an email to fans

Oh you better believe Ensminger has a way bigger chance of landing the OC job than you think. If a middle aged woman passes by him and she says she loves Ensminger he will get a hard look.

It would be more than that: Alleva would promote Ensminger as ft coach when O tanks, continue his legacy of cheap hires until he fired as AD.

On paper, that was a remarkable hire. Johnson had achieved success at multiple programs and seemed to be an up-and-comer.

I think we do understand it. A 2nd tier coach or a guy like Fleck would have been an astronomically better hire than someone who has a 10-25 all time record and couldn't get AN INTERVIEW AT ANY OTHER UNIVERSITY. That should be hugely concerning to some of you.

Alleva went after Herman. Herman preferred UT.

A good AD could have made Herman and offer he couldn't refuse. The fact is that after 5 weeks of wanting to hire Orgeron, LSU lost to Florida and only then did Alleva decide that he had to make the hire from outside. After LSU looked good against A&M, then Orgeron wowed Alleva with the binder, Alleva really didn't want Herman so he was able to run away at the first sign of Texas entering the fold.
Herman is not dumb, he knows that Alleva never got serious about him until the 4-5 days prior to the last game of the year. Had Alleva been working on him all along he perhaps could have been convinced on how LSU is a better job for him than Texas.

No you don't. Alleva's first and second choice were most everyones first and second choice. They chose to stay or go somewhere else and Alleva couldn't do a darn thing about that.
So you freaking idiots keep harping on Alleva not hiring two guys we had no chance of getting.
so Alleva hires his third choice. You think it would be better to hire someone for more money. Alleva doesn't agree. I don't agree either.
Get over it! I am going to enjoy watching LSU success then next few years and enjoy almost as much listing to you and those like you complain the entire time as success is forced down your throat!
