After bayou things are pretty tame and quiet in my time living in New Orleans because it gets frigid at night with the wind whipping about

I'd say you're clear to proceed safely and have a really good time

If you venturing into The Quarter I would call this statement into question

Should be safe next weekend with temps in the 30s at night

Cold weather keeps the riff raff down

As safe as it always is. Don't walk around by yourself and don't go past the third block after midnight and don't go on the side streets and most importantly don't run your mouth or confront or bitch at a thug for any reason.

With all of the BS the country goes through and with the talk of violence with the NBA all star game and the Saints winning the super bowl, there hasn't been any big problems in the quarter.

Just use common sense and I would suggest by 2:00AM calling it a night. If you end up in a block up by canal with a bunch of thug homies hanging around and they look like they are up to no good, get away ASAP.

You'll be fine. Quarter gets shady after midnight. Bourbon after 10pm.

Do you have the Uber app? only about a million fun places to go and you wont have to worry about safety (mostly)

you should be fine with the colder weather coming down....just be very aware of where you are, as things vary a hell of a lot from one block to the next in the quarter.

You'll just miss the murder season, but you'll be there in time for the armed robbery season.

The quarter is very safe until midnight for the most part. between 12-3 is when the worst of the worst come out to prey on people. Most common crime is pick pocketing by far. Hustlers are out in the daytime. Best to avoid anyone who comes up to you talking about shoes on your feet.

I usually steer people to Frechmen after 10 as it's a better scene. Every club has live music and most have no covers and it's a smaller area and is a lot safer.

Bourbon is fun to see, but drinks aren't that great and most the bars suck.

Royal is fun to walk down in the daytime and shop and listen to the street performers.
