Do Les Miles and Coach Cam beat Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Texas A&M this year. After what you saw the first four games? Just anybody was going to swoop in and pull the team together to finish the season? Give me a break.

And beats UF, there I said it.

When you try and fire the coach that puts pressure on the locker room. The wheels were in motion again in week 1. Look at freaking UT. They go to practice every day wondering if strong will be there. It shows in the games. Just like it showed at the end of last season for LSU.

Les was getting blamed for the UF loss. Yet o gets praise for beating the shite teams? How does that work?

I like O, hope he gets a hc job again. But he is not the answer to take LSU above bama.

Only rational

Signed...the rant. Harping on what someone did ten years ago under totally different circumstances seems, to me, to be anything but rational. Should Alabama fire Nick Saban because he lost to LSU as the coach of MSU? Michigan State is not Alabama, and then is not now. It would seem to be a rational act to learn from the past as you build toward the future. Nah - fire Saban so the Gumps can be more successful. Your way makes more sense.

There is a direct correlation with coaches replacing another having a positive impact. Then after awhile they start to level off..

See the Dolphin's interim coach last year. Same fire as O.

I, for one, have no difficulty seeing the immediate overall improvement of the team from Miles to Orgeron. Clamoring for a coach simply to find a coach NOT named Orgeron is pathetic and ignores all of the obvious positives after he took over.

They improved. It doesn't mean the program will be in better shape with Orgeron at the helm two or three years from now. I have doubts about his ability to run a program on a long-term basis. His record at Ole Miss backs that up.

But if I need an interim head coach for one year, he's the first person I call.

Yeah, I was wowed by the 0 points scored against Alabama and the 10 put on the board against Florida.

People are calling for O because he is "one of us" not because he is the best man for the job

I have been reading the coaching changes board for weeks now and haven't actually seen even one person say that as a reason to hire coach O. On the other hand, I have seen it said a thousand times by people who don't want coach O, that those who do like coach O, say it. Does that make any sense to you?

Minimizing what Coach O has done is fricking stupid at this point. If you'd rather hire a different coach, that's fine. There are better candidates. But the shite talking of O given what he has done for the program is fricking stupid. You guys need to find room in your tiny arse brains for 1) respect for what O has done and 2) your coaching preference going forward.

amen brother. I want a proven and successful HC at LSU too but these anti-O people are pissing me off. they drag him down at every opportunity and the man does not deserve that. if he gets the job I will be happy for him and will pull for him and my Tigers 100%. this man WANTS TO BE AT LSU. I like that.

CEO should not attempt to change the deal after the horse is out the barn.... It's the obligation of both LSU and CEO to honor the terms of the deal - for the best interests of the program.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I clearly remember reading that the deal was that O would be considered for the HC position. Now, that can be interpreted as one might wish, either seriously evaluated, or "ok, I thought about it for 10 seconds and you're out."

Either way, who's trying to change the deal? Who's not honoring what? If O was promised consideration, why shouldn't he be trying make his case?

If Alleva promised to consider him, then he owes O a legitimate good-faith evaluation. That doesn't mean he has to get the job, but it certainly means he doesn't deserve to get bashed for trying. Sorry if that pisses-off the anti-Os.

Coach O is anything but "TYPICAL"

No, sorry, did not mean to offend you, in all seriousness, he has done a great job in his time here at LSU and I just hope that the relationship continues and he stays on in some form or another. He seems to have quite a bit to offer to the program as either the head coach (did a fine job of it so far), d-line coach, or recruiting coordinator.

If LSU wishes to be elite...need to have an elite HC...or hire someone with the potential to be elite.
