LSU is a top program. But my questioning is still there. It's a lateral move at best.

But it's really not. I'm too lazy to go link Forbes list, but LSU is above FSU by a notable margin. See, LSU isn't aTm or UT but they do benefit from being somewhat of an oil school among other things.

Then, you get into the logistics of LSU operating alone inside a talent-rich state versus being 1 of 3.

Is it a quantum leap above? Not at all. But, with a salary bump approaching $2mill, administrative increases in authority and working back in the SEC, it makes more sense.

lolno. It is objectively a better job.

I'm not even some LSU Homer at all.

They pay their assistants a TON more than FSU (seriously, look it up, their DC makes like 500k), have great facilities, have the most players in the NFL per capita, and have no in state rival for recruiting.
