you are not wrong. I just want to be able to deposit money every pay period without the having to worry much with how the investment process is done. I have zero knowledge of investing. I figure if I want to get anymore detailed about anything then I can worry about that later...maybe later on I'll come back and say hey, I was able to max out my Roth contributions for the year...now what? Beyond that, I just want to start saving for retirement.

I'm 33, to answer the other question posed. Getting a late start to the process, but being in debt and having no work 401k to worry with, I've just been focusing on paying off my student loans/car up until this point.

If you can contribute $5,500 per year at 33 your're not as behind as you think you are.

Yeah, just set it up for auto deposit once or twice a month...whatever it let's you do. Do that for a couple of years and switch to admiral shares (cheaper fees).

Also, I like your 90/10 allocation at 33 years old.
