It was only ~$2800, but I wanted to toot my own horn a little bit for keeping my debt low. Time to start making money now that I'm free

Congrats. We got my wife's Student loan paid off a few months back.

We are 1 year into a 5 year debt free plan. We re evaluated and factored in increases in pay and now we are 3.5 years from debt free.

Good job.. Can't wait to get mine off my back and I've only been out of school for a year

Paying twice the minimum payment and still feel like I'm not even making a dent.

Congrats bro. I've been debt free for a year now. Don't ever plan to go back.

I've got 2200 left of 17,000 from when I got out three years ago. I still owe my mom 40k but it's at 0 percent and I'll pay it off whenever

I remember how great that felt. Congratulations!

I paid my last one off early because they kept screwing up and not crediting me for a double payment I was making. For about 6 months, I faxed the same canceled check to them, they agreed I was right, and said it was fixed (again).

The next month, no change. I finally asked the payoff balance. I told the guy, "I can't really afford to do this, because it will wipe out my savings, but I'm going to have to pay you stupid MFs off because I can't tolerate your f'ing stupidity and incompetence any more. I'm not sure if that was your goal, but if it was, you win."

Paid it off and became broke, but it felt awesome.

Congratulations! Definitely one of the best feelings when I made my final loan payment for undergrad.

Now I'm researching loans for when I go back to b school. It freaking kills me but it is what it is

Awesome, congrats! Can't wait until that day. I just cut mine down to 5 figures.
