Your personal experience isn't going to convince people who feel differently.
The media isn't responsible for people feeling oppressed whether the feeling is justified or not is up to individuals.
It's silly for one person to tell another how they should feel. There is tons and data and numerous studies done to prove the oppression does exist.
It's not impossible to overcome, but it's there.

The people have learned to not think for themselves. Instead, the media thinks for the people. If you don't see how negatively the media influences African Americans, then you're retarded.

Majority of people's perception is due to media. A lot of the current racial feelings got its root in the Trayvon Martin shooting, whose evidence was altered by media to suit the narrative, and a Hispanic was turned white to do the same.
