How do you respond to this Silicon Valley liberal's tweet about rural Americans?

I know he is trolling with the second half of his tweet, but does he have a point? No matter who the President is, will half the country always be unhappy? How would you respond to him?

Everyone lives in their own bubble but I think people in rural areas have a broader view of things

Michael Moore said the same thing. Safe spaces is why Hillary lost.

Mostly true but theres a few things with that (I view that second half as sarcasm btw)
Rural America gets exposure (albeit warped) to urban america through their TV set every day of the year.
They also visit the city for vacation business etc. Silicon valley doesnt go to Mississippi.

Is he being sarcastic? I don't know who this is and I don't feel like researching him

It's sarcasm. HE'S saying silicon Valley isn't as much of a bubble as rural areas.

Tell him America just spoke and said: take your leftist socialist agenda and stick it up your stinking liberal arse, jackass.

A whole geographical area tweeted?
That's pretty G-d damned amazing.
What are its hands?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Same attitude as that condescending twat who wrote the cracked article

Doesn't have to be that way. If people didn't insist on using government to impose their views on others, it wouldn't matter who was in charge.

Have to say first, that i enjoy this thought provoking thread idea...
Now to answer.
The easiest answer is to say that if they had consulted a broad cross section of Americans then them and all the polls and so called experts wouldnt have been so surprised by an epic win by Trump that pierced the so called Blue wall.
Furthermore, i question what they consider to be "broad" in their cross section of consulting. I am going to guess this is a cross section of different races who live in Silicon Valley indians, asians, and white men, + a few etcs? Either way this is a cross section of races within socioeconomics which really means nothing. Second of all this is anything but representative of a greater heterogeneous America. They also live in a bubble, like the farmers. Bubbles arent just color of skin, but regional and socioeconomic.

He's right in that we're all living in our own personal bubbles. Some people's bubble may be marginally bigger than others, but we all have a painfully incomplete perspective of the world. It makes comparing bubble sizes a ridiculously unproductive endeavor.

Living in this way overrated place known as Silicon Valley, it lives in a bubble because no one genuinely cares about their neighbor here, much less someone living in rural America.

People that live in the country are exposed on a daily basis to the world, the big cities and liberal views, by watching TV shows and the news.
People in Silicon Valley are only exposed to small towns, blue collar workers, factories, etc., when they look down there noses at them.
These people are already ensuring a second term for Trump. They don't get it!

Dumbass prog. thinks if you don't live in a megalopolis that you're "rural."
I'd say almost every American outside of the person who lives in Hollywood, Washington DC area or Manhattan has a better grip on reality than those in Silicon Valley

I think a larger percentage of the right exposes themselves to opposing views than the opposite. For example a right wing guy living in middle America is far more likely to read the NYT or WaPo than a left wing guy in the Northeast or California is to read Brietbart. Libs lost this one in large part because of their collective scorn of and often outright refusal to entertain opposing viewpoints.

Rural Americans aren't out in the streets trying to tell people they know what's best for them.

I've lived in both areas.
Grew up in rural MO, now live in SoCal.
Both groups, by in large, live in their respective bubbles surrounded by group think, enclosed in an echo chamber.
Neither group actually listens to what the other has to say, they are all just waiting to speak.
