I have these. They are comfortable and have a more aggressive sole.

Personally, I hate white on shoes because it gets dirty. Also, I prefer neutral colored shoes that can be worn with most anything.

I would suggest that the OP look at trail shoes from Vasque, Salmon, Asolo, and even The North Face.

I wear boots or those shoes. They look good, and they are comfortable. I don't like tacky looking shoes; these are simple.

New balance actually has a lot of good looking shoes these days.

I like these Gobi Trail shoes

I'm not looking for a pair of New Balance shoes either.

I do not want to look like a coach with white shoes or pleated pants.

Can't believe someone with your level of sophistication would stoop to asking the OT about fashion.

Get some New Balance that look different with different backgrounds chief.

I have those fresh foam gobi shoes for light trail running. Very comfy and surprisingly good looking for a running shoe.

90% of the shoes pictured in this thread remind me why I give zero fricks about the opinions expressed on the OT

couple of things to tink about;

1) buy yourself a pair of Toms from anywhere you can buy them if you're so socially responsibly guilty rather than lining Phil Knight's greedy pockets, da quality is the same for your purposes...

2) make a decision baw, man up or take Tyrone up the arse, you're leaning towards Tyrone...

3) there are more than 25 uses of the attention craving "I" in this thread, seek help, all of you...

4) a rational grown man buys what he likes and doesn't ask for opinions on fashion...

4) if you disagree with me, fricking grow a pair and man up OR face the consequences...

Salomon??? Talk about overspending for a shoe that would not look good with jeans and most are probably uncomfortable as hell walking on regular floors. Most of those things have rock plates and lugs that are basically cleats.

Ecco Fusions are almost as comfortable as running shoes. I just wore them on vacation pounding the pavement, and they were nice. They look good enough to wear to a decent restaurant too.

They come in different colors and looks. Here are a couple.
