I think O just wants the best Offensive and Defensive minds to be his coordinators. And in his mind that's Kiffin and Aranda
I could dig it

You've sincerely pissed me off today Random. Thanks.

And of course Lsu wants Orgeron. He's the cheapest coach they can get and if he fails fans can't get mad at administration because their dumbass wanted him too. It's a win win for them

the big name would be Briles

Maybe it's Sarkisian. Coach O does want to run the USC offense from the glory days. Might as well hire the OC from the glory days.

Maybe it's Sarkisian.

I've said for weeks now that Kiffin will be our OC if Ed is the guy. Just be patient folks.

Orgeron is playing Alleva like a fiddle. He knows how easy it is the make him his bitch

Why would kiffen do that? Alabama is a more secure job and is the top program in the country. He is basically demoting himself. If he leaves Bama, it's for a HC gig.

Oregeron left USC because he was angry not to be hired as their head coach.

From what I was told at lunch today...
If coach O was retained, Aranda would keep Associate Head Coach title and receive a pay increase and contract extension. O would then make a move to get Kiffin at LSU. They are super tight, way tighter than I thought. If he couldn't get Kiffin, this is what I was told today "there's a big name offensive mind that he would go after. Let me confirm it before I let it leak out." Coach O is fine with making significantly less than Les made and allocating more money to the coordinators. I heard he's selling hard to name him ASAP so he can lock in some great recuits to finish the class with a bang.
This is such a smokescreen, to keep the focus off who LSU really is going after. Admin is working hard to avert everything they did wrong with Jimbo last year. Will not repeat that same mistake. Notice the very first word in the paragraph, IF?
1st, O isn't getting the job
2nd, O wants admin to believe that if we beat Bama, then we're going to turn around and throw $$$ at the guy we just beat, with an interim coach? Yeah, that's sound reasoning
3rd, the other OC in play for coach O is Briles.
4th, locking in recruits isn't even in play for O, because if he were to leave LSU, he wouldn't end up at an elite enough program to pull anyone with him. And the coach that LSU is bringing in will pull in his own notable recruits
Its just a distraction, and Random is just helping LSU burn the tires

We get it. You don't understand their relationship and don't believe it will happen. Thanks for the input.

I don't want Art Briles within 150 yards of a school, playground, or my beloved LSU football!!!!

FWIW Sarkisian publicly stated he wanted to bring O back to the team and lobbied him to return. There was never an indication of what capacity it would be.

Get out of here with logic. I said a few posts into this thread nobody would even bother reading the first few words of the post.
All random said was if O was retained...and off we go with the negative crap. I agree with you btw lol

At the end of the day, I think kiffen cares more about his future and his family's future than helping his "buddy" out. How people actually believe kiffen would do this is blowing my mind right now.
