For those unfortunate souls that have to wear a tie to work: what's your favorite dress shirt and why?

Eton and Sid Mashburn fit and wear really well, in my opinion. Sid Mashburn shirts have a really nice feature and that's their buttons.....they're mother of pearl. What's nice about them is they never crack or break (anyone that has to wear dress shirts every day knows how frustrating it is when the plastic butttons break over time).

To me, they're overpriced for what you get.

Kiton

If you are going Neopolitan, I am partial to Finamore over Kiton. I think Hamilton also makes a nice shirt, and it has the nice bonus of coming out of Houston.

I will also one plus the guy above that mentioned Eton. Not in the same league as the ones in the first paragraph, but very nice shirts.

Brooks non iron...they are $68 each if you get them during their semi annual sales (one is coming up in November). The material is a little heavier than a cheaper shirt and they will last a long time.

I believe it may be 3 for $189 or so.

I've always wanted to try Hamilton shirts but, when buying new shirts, always forget about them.

How do they compare to Eton?

How is Charles Tyrwhitt? I get catalogues and they look decent for the price, but I've never seen them.

I go with Brooks Brothers non-iron 4 for $200 once a year. I like the Milano fit.

I like the shirts I have. Good fitted cut. I normally wait until they are running some sort of sale before ordering.

Hamilton shirts are top notch.

No they are not Kiton but they aren't priced like it either. They are much better than 95% of the options mentioned in this thread so far.

Similar quality. I've never had an Eton shirt made for me, only off the rack, only have one. It is nice. I've been a Hamilton customer for a while - very high quality shirts. You can completely modify nearly anything with them, and they take care of their retailers, which means the customer gets well taken care of.

I'd ask Gary Chambers about dress shirts.

What are you doing to your shirt buttons that makes them crack or break?
