Any recommendations? Would prefer to stay under $150 if possible. Would be used for deer hunting btw.

Knee boots or lace ups? Do you need them to be waterproof?

I have lacross 800 or 1000 gram. I don't remember which one I have. My feet were always getting really cold. Now they don't. I got the one with the zipper on the side and i will never have an insulated boot without one. Assuming we are talking rubber boots here

I bought a pair of lace up snake boots and they are the best purchase I've ever made. Irish setters. Bottom is like a tennis shoe and the top laces up. Insulated. Water proof. Very flixible. Cheap compared to $60,000 hospital bill from a bite

I've had a pair of Danner Pronghorns for ten years. If you are going to do some walking
They are great. I bought Uninsulated and change socks to suit my needs. They have non, 400 and then 800 gram versions should be around $169.

As has been said here, Muck woody max. Get 1 size larger than you wear. Wasn't a believer in the size larger crap, until I borrowed a pair of my buddy's one day who has a size bigger than me. Bought a pair the next day.

That and a healthy supply of toasti toes for when it's really miserable, which is not often with the Mucks. And I'm a puddin and my toes used to get cold as shite normally.

Check out the 7mm aeroheads. I wear the 3.5mm ones until temps dip below 30 then switch to 7mm's for colder weather. Size bigger and merino socks keep my feet warm.
