Slightly off topic. How important is it to buy from an appliance stor like stantons in Baton vs a big box store like Home Depot. Is $400 savings on a fridge, dishwasher and stove worth dealing with Home Depot service if something breaks?

Home depot subs out service.
I think you should always go with the best price you can get and not worry about the other factors.
A $400 savings on any appliance is huge.
If something breaks under warranty you deal directly with the manufacturer. If something breaks out of warranty then you deal with a repair company direct.
