He is a young Urban Meyer...who knew much about him when he came to Florida from Utah? Personally I was not a fan of Jimbo when he was OC here at LSU!

And he carved up Saban's D as the Ohio St. offensive coordinator with a 3rd string QB in the playoff (and they ran all over Bama too).

You realize he has beaten top ranked teams with 3 star talent?

He also took it to Alabama's D with a 3rd string QB..

He is willing to change or even overhaul his entire offense mid-season if needed with success.

Aside from being an offensive genius, he has his teams well-prepared.. and his defense lays the lumber.

He's the offensive version of Dave Aranda. Every team he's been with has lit up the scoreboard.

Guess you missed the Peach Bowl last year huh, Chief?

I like Jimbo. I like how he coaches. But to say you would take Jimbo all day? I dont think so.

He gets talked about more on this board than LSU does. It's getting really ridiculous.

I wonder what would happen if Herman's and Jimbo's teams ever played each other.

Wait a minute....

The commentator said it earlier, if the team he is playing strength is their interior D line, you don't try and run head long into and waste plays just for the sake of doing it. Run plays that give you the advantage and once their D line is run ragged from defending everything else, then you run it down their throat.

Think about this...there is one player on Houston's roster that LSU offered. They would beat this LSU team like they owe them money. He is the best coach not named Nick Saban that is available.

13-1 last season (his first at a bad Houston team)
4-0 now

17-1 at Houston

Beat Florida State 38-24 (with your Jimbo) in the Peach Bowl last year and then beat Oklahoma (Stoops) to start this year 33-23

Whipping up on Fla. State and Oklahoma back to back, from Houston!! I would say he is a good coach.

His offense is special and it seems he is preaching defense as well.

What makes him special is his smarts (Mensa Man) as he can look at film and make a gameplan to pick apart a defense

I'll cut Jimbo some slack on that one since his starting QB for most of the season didn't even make the trip and his backup could barely move with a taped up sprained foot after he was carted off and returned to play. Herman is no joke though. He is a great coach.
