They talked about fan base, facilities, support, and recruiting resources. What do y'all say?

It's not even close. The only things that would make it "better" have nothing to do with football.

I'm nothing close to a homer, but LSU is a much better job than USC.

Just the fact that you don't have to live in Los Angeles makes LSU a better job.

Depends on how much weight you assign to the cheerleaders.

All you LSU "fans" who think USCw is a better job than LSU.

Do you think Les Miles would have won 112 games at USC??? He would have gotten rolled by Stanford and been fired a long time ago.

Are you kidding me? LSU is a much better job than USC.

Get off your knees and get the Trojans out of your mouths for Godsakes.

USC is still reeling from Pete Carroll and have yet to show they can turn it around.. even with some high ranked classes.

LSU has shown, once established, even an average coach like Miles can maintain success with such amount of talent.

The fact that we're in that conversation is awesome.

They have the whole Southern California angle but I personally would prefer to live in Louisiana. I am a bit biased though.

Moments ago Paul Finebaum made the case that LSU isn't even a top 5 job in the SEC. He claims the coach doesn't have control becuase of boosters putting their fingers in decisions.

It's really Bama, Florida and LSU for the beat job in the conference.

Basically their take was that of all the jobs likely to come open this season, LSU is by far the best.

USCw has lost a lot of its glitter & that goes back to when PC left, i.e. almost a long time ago in program lives. It's in a shitty part of town, it's facilities are not close to the best in the SEC, let alone LSU, and it's fan base is Southern Californian, i.e. laid back. And now that the Rams are back in town, a lot of L.A.'s focus is on the NFL again. Not sure what any of its recent hires have been paid but I do not recall hearing any figures like those that are common in the SEC, especially for staffs in the league.

100 fricken %

If players in the NFL is the measuring stick; LSU has the best recruiting in the nation. Which means, you should be competing for a title every year.

Taking that into consideration, along with facilities, local culture, resources/money -- in my opinion, it's a top 5 premium job.
