Am I the only one being skeptical about actually winning?

I really had high hopes last weekend that LSU would win out, win the NC, LM would retire, etc

Do you really think LSU under CEOs direction could run the table?

could, sure
will, doubtful

BUT, I expect to play much better going forward and win some games we would have lost under Miles

It will be hard to run the table still have to play a lot of good teams. I am just looking for us just to be better sound especially on offense.

After the first 3 games (and the last 5 years) there was no reason to have high hopes about winning out.

No. There is reason to think we'll be much more competitive and ruin some seasons. I think we drop 2 more.

Yes. Stop being an a-hole.

At this point, let's beat bama and enbaress A&m and this season will still be cool.

No, but 7-1 wouldn't shock me

If he goes 7-1 or better he needs serious consideration for the job if not some national coach of the year award

I think we go 6-6 ... just being honest

Beat Mizzo
Pull out one at Florida
Beat South Alabama

Lose to Ole Miss, Bama, Arkansas, and aTm

Our schedule is ridiculously tough. O will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm but it won't fix the OL issues. Auburn ran all over us last game which was surprising too

Can an interim coach win CotY? We would look like complete asshats if O went 7-1, won CotY, and we hired Herman.
I mean.. all of that is very unlikely (except the asshat part).

We might not win every game, but if we lose it'll be going full speed with a fire. It won't be the lifeless losses we are accustomed to seeing.

I hope you're right; but I fear the wheels will come spinning off the program. I don't think Ensminger is the answer for this offense.

I biggest hope is that there is excitement and improved (enjoyable) play.

Miles tended to make even wins less fun.

So, if LSU shows a real change in offensive production and make the wins a lot of fun and the losses NOT be because of ineptitude and inability to make a first down, etc.....then THAT is a big improvement.

No, you do not install a new offense in less than a week. I would be surprised if they were able to score a touchdown with a new HC and OC. I bet about 6 key players are really worried about their NFL. Frankly, if I were LF7 I would consider sitting until my ankle was fully healed.

I expect the team to become more competitive... that would be an improvement.

We will be lucky to make it to a bowl game. Think about it...we are 2-2 through four games, the head coach and OC have been fired and the toughest part of the schedule is to come.

The fans, and I assume, the team are on an emotional high right now, which can carry you for a little while.

That said, we still have to play at Florida, Arkansas and Texas A&M. We have to play Ole Miss and Bama too, though at home.

As we sit here today, we would be underdogs in every one these games.

Energy will be high as it's been in a while this weekend. I think reality hits at UF. This team has a lot of problems that won't be solved with Miles having been fired.

If we lose 6 or 7 games this year, it doesn't mean the wheels are coming off the program. It doesn't make our program any less appealing to outside coaches. It doesn't mean our players are bad. It simply means we had a bad year with an interim HC. Many programs have gone through the same thing. These guys have been studying a system for a long time and things JUST changed yesterday. We have a great excuse if we have a bad year now. It's not a big deal.
