They should have hired him last year. Their whole process from the moment Sark was fired was a shite show.

Good. Seems 90% of the time the opposite happens.

If it's a choice between LSU and USC, a normal person picks USC 100% of the time.

It doesn't, but he's either east coast or west coast, all day long. That's all that exists in his head.

Cowherd is a USC guy. Herman is the best candidate out there. Why is this surprising. Good news is, LSU has the jump on the hire and by all indications he is a better fit here.

If I didn't have a bias to Baton Rouge and LSU, I would definitely rather coach Southern Cal.

Let me see... SoCal or South Louisiana? Hmmmm...SoCal

in all seriousness, we can't win a bidding war with USC...money wise or intangible wise

Where did you pull that from?
He was born in Cincinatti.

Outside of Ohio State and Iowa State, his entire coaching career has been in the state of Texas.

Being the level headed, Texan/republican that he probably is, I would think that California wouldn't be as attractive as you might think.
Louisiana is much closer to any major ties he has. And he would absolutely kill at recruiting in Texas. He'd have zero recruiting "ins" in California.

USC isn't paying their coach 6 or 7 million a year.

Not really he was raised in Simi Valley and went to Cal Lutheran so that would qualify as a Cali guy

Malibu or Baton Rouge not a hard choice. USC is where i think he ends up

USC's current administration would be fine with 86'ing the football program altogether.

Yeah, see, it's really not viewed that way anymore by anyone under the age of 40. They are living off old commodities just like Notre shite
