7v7 actually. BRSC did some reshuffling this year to the rec leagues, it's all grade based now. So if you're in 4th grade, you play together regardless of birthday. I've got another kid playing 6th grade, and that's 9v9

That's cool, it'll line up with high school better. I doubt my boy will play with school until Stanislaus, which has a Jr high team. No idea if those kids play club soccer as well.
I like 9v9.
I think my son might guest play in BR the weekend of Oct. 8. Not sure what the tournament name is though.
ETA: There are enough schools to make a league of 4th graders? Do some of those kids play club soccer too? Our rec leagues would be shut down if schools did that, but it may help participation. I wish our rec leagues had more support, but dad's coaching can be a hit or and miss.
