No Pelini has made it quite clear on multiple occasions that he doesn't want anything less than a HC, and he seems happy where he is at.
He probably has nothing but positive vibes for LSU, but no way he comes back as a DC.

Florida State ain't letting Jimbo Fisher go! Y'all need to get that out of your head. And I wouldn't want Pelini back anyways. Dude doesn't belive in blitzing, cost LSU that game against Arky on their second loss at home when they won the NC in 2007. Refused to blitz Arky on that 4th down when they tied the game to send it into OT.

Herman has a pretty damn good defensive staff at UH. I don't see why people think it'd be a given he'd leave them behind if he were to come to LSU.
