"Forget about the troubles," Melancon told the staffers.
I've heard there is a full on revolt taking place at the LDWF's offices internally and that every employee over there wants him out as Commissioner.

I knew this was coming when edwards appointed this sack of shite. Much like at the Federal Level, the threat isn't from the elected officials per se, it's from the faceless nameless unelected bureaucrats that are ruining this country.

None of you has a clue of the problems and mess he was left to clean up. When the audits come out, you will see all of the employees using credit cards for personal expenses during the last 4 years. It's ridiculous and he is stuck having to deal with a group of folks who were allowed to spend YOUR money on anything and everything imaginable.

Cleaning up fraud and abuse is something I would applaud. However derailing something that the entire recreational fishing population of the state is wanting badly and also is the larger tax paying/revenue paying part of the department, until he changes his stance on this I want him out immediately.

This. I agree cleaning up fraud is the right thing to do. However, that has nothing to do with the snapper issue. They are not related in anyway. Melancon is going to screw up years of fighting that had finally gained traction until he and JBE showed up.
