As a kid I watched all 3 MULTIPLE times and liked Ooze better, but now I realize the original is the best one. I would love a non cheese, non cgi, badass and gritty version of TMNT.

Somebody needs to get on that

A gritty, non-cheese movie of turtles who are exposed to toxic waste (along with a rat), grow to super size and intelligence, and are trained by the rat in martial arts?

I mean i guess they can order margherita pizzas.

Looking back as an adult, the 1990 movie was fairly dark and "gritty." Sure, it was cheesy, but that's what TMNT was all about though. But it was terribly dark for a "kids" movie IMO.

And it was pretty violent and "badass" as well, especially for the time (and again, for a kids movie).

Just look at the toned down shite throughout the second one as evidence of how cool the first one was. They used almost no weapons at all, and it was overly "silly" which was kinda the point. The second movie was basically like "Let's tone this shite down and just have fun with everything." And it's really entertaining too, just in a different way than the original one was.
