On season 7 right now. Gus boss was murdered and they kept destroying the crime scene. 
This has the signs for a classic episode.
I would put Gus and Sean up there with Cory and Shawn and JD and Turk

Watched that one a couple days ago.
I'm in season 8. I haven't been very impressed with it thus far. But overall I have enjoyed the show.
Shawn and *Insert Random Nickname* are GOAT bromance couple.

Gus' whole spiel to Chief Vick about ballin' & shot callin' floors me every time. And Woody was on point that whole episode. Easily my favorite episode.

By like the 3rd season, Gus starts stealing the show. His timing, mannerisms, facial expressions delivering his lines is just outstanding.
Obviously there are comparisons to Turk and JD. Both are just totally believable "best friends", but Gus and Shawn are great characters on their own as well. For the most part Turk and JD were too but by the end of Scrubs JD especially was becoming a caricature of his original character. He was just way too overtop the top with some of his quirkiness.

Just watched last night gus. pretty fantastic. Though, i found myself laughing way to hard at the next episode This Episode sucks, when gus and shawn realize it could be a vampire and gus starts losing it. "Sookie is mine!"

On season 7 finale. The musical is great so far. Reminds me of the scrubs musical.
