Teaser question from someone who doesn't bet them.
You tease Ole Miss at, say, +6 and you get a 100% benefit, as your line doubles to +12. But you tease the under from 59.5 and you only get a 10% line benefit to 65.5.
So it seems to me that there could be great value in teasers is in games around a pick 'em, where you can get a 600% line improvement, if I'm thinking about this right.

You're not thinking about it correctly. A game is not 6 times as likely to land Ole Miss +7 or better than Ole Miss +1 or better.
