Yeah they are going to have a rough time vs LSU if they are having trouble vs Wisconsin level DBs

1. Shelton is a 4yr Starter at CB and is pretty good.
2. It was the first day of going against a live Defense since camp opened timing might be a bit off.
3. UW best WR was held out, so young WRs are running the routes. They might of zigged when they should have zagged.

I wouldn't read too much into that.

You clearly have a lot of knowledge about Wisconsin and very little about LSU. Here's the one fact that should be on the top of your mind: LSU has better players up and down the roster.

Could UW win? Sure. Better teams lose to lesser teams all the time. Is it likely? No, it isn't.

Well stated and I believe a fair analysis of the teams and their strengths and weaknesses. UW is certainly a top 15 overall program in this country and alwaaaaaays plays tough hard nosed well coached down and dirty football. I have been to Green Bay, iconic venue with iconic fan base and it will be a difficult game atmosphere for LSU. I have always expected a tough knock down drag out game won in the 4th quarter by the team that wants it the most. This game will go down to the wire and be very, very close, but if I had to bet I would go with UW pulling out a close one down the stretch. Should be a great game played in a grest atmosphere and iconic location. I would wish you luck bUT can't quite get there. We'll see a really good game and maybe one of the best of the year.

Clement was on the Heisman watch list going into last year.

Clement would be 3rd or 4th on LSU's depth chart. Maybe.

He'd be 3rd. After Guice and before Williams.

That's what I was thinking. He's good, no doubt, and UW always has a good offensive line so he will have his moments in this game.

That said, he's no Melvin Gordon.

I'm not very familiar with UW's roster or the caliber of players they have returning so i don't underestimate them at all. My thinking is simply that this LSU team is as talented or more than any other team in college football this year. After that Les Miles teams don't always play well but traditionally they are solid week 1. The team you played in 14 couldn't hold this teams jock strap. We are better at every position on the field minus possibly PAT kicker and a Tackle on the line.

Boy that sounds a lot like the garbage in 2014 when you all stated before the game that LF7 was the best player on the field, I think Melvin proved you wrong.

Corey Clement was no where near 100% last season, but he is an absolute beast. Don't under sell his talent. He is probably the 2nd most naturally gifted back we have had at Wisconsin besides Melvin Gordon and that's saying something. Dayne, Ball, White, Bennett Fletcher, and Moss included. He could push LF7 for carries if on LSU.

and Aranda trying to install a new system,

You contradict yourself. Wont Wisconsin be getting a new DC? Or do you have a clone of Aranda stashed somewhere. And you don't see that as an issue for your defense. It you do for LSU?

Coaching matters in football. This isn't a free thinking game, players have to be put in spots to succeed. It's actually one of the only big sports in America where you can go pro and have little experience.

While LSU was OK in the run game, they had been the worst against the pass prob since Les has been here. That was on the scheme under steele.

You realize LF is the best player in the nation right? this aint no preseason hype crap. The dude carried a young team to a 10 win season last year in the SEC west. Ill say him and guice are a wash though. Guice hasn't had to be the man yet but is more than capable.

I think it will be more competitive then many of the experts think.

Definitely will be a competitive game, Whiskey has always been blessed with big line-men and talented backs, Wisconsin's a tough game, but LSU will be just too talented towards the end and wear Whiskey down.

Didn't say he'd start, but he would get his carries. Hell, he had 900 yards backing up Melvin as a So. Come on... give in a little bit, LSU doesn't corner the market on stud players, other teams have some too.
